Why stay inside when hope is waiting outside?
That old Nordic proverb touches on something essential – because when the world feels brutal and overwhelming, nature offers us a pause, a breather, and a glimpse of hope. Especially right now, when everything outside is in full bloom, reminding us that nature lives and grows – regardless of how we humans act or how the world behaves.
I feel it clearly myself these days. Being in nature or in my garden – weeding, planting, sowing, and harvesting – brings me a calm I can’t find anywhere else. It’s as if the body remembers something ancient when the hands work in the soil and the sun warms the back. Thoughts settle, joy quietly grows, and for a moment, the world’s disorder fades away. Here are a few glimpses from my garden, where kale, broad beans, ferns, and flowers are thriving right now.
I also spend time gathering plants – leaves, flowers, branches, and sprouts – which I use in my botanical prints. It’s my way of extending nature’s presence and turning small details into something lasting and tangible. Each print becomes a kind of tribute to the living world and to the quiet, beautiful details we often overlook.
Below, you’ll find a small selection of plant prints – all made from plants collected in my own garden.
Let nature leave its mark on your summer
It doesn’t take much. A quiet moment under a tree. A morning walk through dewy grass. A wildflower bouquet on the kitchen table. Nature is always there – ready to share its peace, energy, and beauty with you, if you allow yourself to accept it.And if you’d like to treat yourself to two peaceful days surrounded by nature – with plant printing, relaxation, and delicious homemade green food – we still have a few spots left for our retreat on the scenic Danish island Ærø, July 1st–3rd.

We can’t deny that we live in a time of conflict and unrest. There is still much to fight for – peace, justice, and a more sustainable future. But we must also remember to breathe.
The small pauses – feeling the sun, picking a flower, or simply sitting in stillness – are not an escape. They’re nourishment.
Because only when we ourselves are grounded and in balance can we help shape a world that is the same.
So give yourself that pause. Step outside. And return with renewed energy.
With all my love. I wish you a beautiful summer!
