Pernille Folcarelli is the person behind the brand, founded in 2013.
It was the love for plants and nature that got it all started. Combined with her fascination for graphic paper work, textiles, and interior design.
Pernille graduated as a designer from the Royal Danish Academy Copenhagen, and before she started her own brand she worked as freelance designer, stylist, color consultant, and interior designer for 20 years.
As a designer, Pernille has always been fascinated by the beauty of nature. Growing up in a small town surrounded by sea and forests, she was drawn to the organic shapes and patterns found in plants and flowers. So when she started her own design business, it was obvoius to incorporate her love for nature into her work
”Nature has always been my overall biggest inspiration, and I guess it will always be like this. Nature fills me with great fascination, joyfulness, and a calmness that is hard to find anywhere else. I hope to spread some of this joy and tranquility through my work.”
Pernille Folcarelli creates art prints, wall decorations and interior products that create a soothing, natural atmosphere, which can be especially beneficial in areas where people want to unwind and relax.
”I belive that in a hectic world we need natural, delightful breathing spaces more than ever. We long for design that open our eyes to the beauty of nature´s details. This will help us appreciate nature, and find joy in the simple things that surround us.”
Pernille collects plants, flowers, and seaweed from her local surroundings in North Zealand, Denmark. These are selected on the basis of shape, leaf structure, characteristic or their symbolism. In her workshop, the fresh plants are carefully printed on paper through a hand-powered graphic press.
Selected handmade prints are developed for collections of posters, postcards, textile wall decorations, wallpaper, curtains, cushions, trays and napkins. All products are manufactured in close collaboration with Scandinavian suppliers.
Pernille Folcarelli also supply products to interior designers, hotels, restaurants, etc., and can offer special design and production for specific projects.
